10th Hans Grassl Award
To win the 10th Hans Grassl Award, in the winter of 2021/2022 the civil engineering master’s students of the Technische Universität Braunschweig specialising in steel construction were given approximately eight weeks to design the replacement of the pedestrian bridge over the Marienstrasse Osterbek Canal in Hamburg. Structural, aesthetic, urban planning and economic considerations were to be taken into account.
At the beginning of February 2022, the jury judged the work of the student teams. In January 2023, the awards were handed out by Martin Grassl personally.
This year, first place went to Anwar Alrahwan, Leoni Jürgens, Maria Kowalewski and Liene Thörner.
Tillmann Kuhr, Maram Namoura and Finn Ringel won second place.
Paula Flacke, Hamed Gholizadeh and Lara Schollenbruch finished in third place.
Congratulations to the award winners and runners-up and all the best for your studies!
