11th Hans Grassl Award

At the 11th edition of the Hans Grassl Award, Master’s students of Civil Engineering specializing in Steel Construction at Technische Universität Braunschweig had around six weeks during the winter semester 2022/2023 to design a new bridge across the Moldauhafen in Hamburg, considering structural, architectural, urban planning, and economic aspects.

At the end of February 2023, the jury evaluated the submitted projects prepared by student teams. In December 2023, Martin Grassl personally presented the awards.

This year, first place was awarded to Noah Hehemann, Moritz Thoben, and Gesa Werner. Two second places were awarded to the teams of Franziska Brune, Celina Buttke, and Penglu Liu, as well as Dominik Bergmann, Jean William Eyebe Bineli, Sebastian Giesers, and Matthis Horstjan.
