12th Hans Grassl Award

At the 12th edition of the Hans Grassl Award, Master’s students of Civil Engineering specializing in Steel Construction at Technische Universität Braunschweig had around six weeks during the winter semester 2023/2024 to design the new Hasselholm Valley Bridge in Schleswig, considering structural, architectural, urban planning, and economic aspects.

In February 2024, the jury evaluated the submitted projects prepared by student teams. In December 2024, Martin Grassl personally presented the awards.

This year, first place was awarded to Lawrence Alkalaani, Max Grothe, Nicolas Thielemann, and Jan Wessels. Second place went to Mohammed Hamour, Samantha Knobloch, and Felix Leven. Third place was awarded to Nils Heinemann, Chaoguang Wu, and Xiuwen Zhong.
