B112, City Bypass Brieskow-Finkenheerd / Wiesenau

Opening for Traffic

The new city bypass of the B112 between Brieskow-Finkenheerd and Wiesenau was opened for traffic on December 22nd 2015. The opening ceremony was accompanied by the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Michael Odenwald, Brandenburgs Minister for Infrastructure and Regional, Planning, Kathrin Schneider and the Head of the Department of Road Construction Brandenburg, Dr. Albrecht Klein.

In this section the engineering office GRASSL was responsible for the structural checking of the following constructions (checking by Dipl.-Ing. Robert Smith)

  • BW 304: a pre-stressed concrete bridge on deep foundation with 3 fields and spans of 32.00 – 38.00 – 32.00 m
  • BW 305: a steel composite frame bridge on deep foundations with a span of 42.00 m
  • BW 306: a reinforced concrete frame bridge on deep foundations with a span of 6.30 m
  • Noise protection barrier on the bridge and a dam with a length of 224.50 m and height of 2.90 m
  • Structural construction to support the steep slope between the bridges with a length of 224.50. The special checking of the reinforced earth structure was conducted by Dipl.-Ing. Olaf Mundil.
