Mahatma-Gandhi-Brücke Hamburg

Opening for Traffic

The new Mahatma-Gandhi-Brücke Hamburg is almost completed and opened for pedestrian traffic after approximately one year of construction works. The widening of the cross section allows a higher number of pedestrians to reach the new Elbphilharmonie. GRASSL engineers were responsible for the planning of this important connection to the HafenCity. The reuse of the existing abutments could lower the construction costs substantially.
