On 25 July at 18:15h, Jens Strohbusch and Thomas Poolman will hold a virtual presentation on the topic of structural testing and monitoring as building blocks of modern and sustainable structure management. This presentation is part of the VHK lecture series “Bauen ganz praktisch” (Construction in practice). The maintenance of engineering structures is an important factor for the sustainability of inner-city areas. Often, the preservation of historic monuments and lack of alternative traffic routes leave no other option. Thanks to their modern methods and tools, structural testing and monitoring play an important role in the maintenance of structures. This is shown in the presentation by using the example of two iconic structures.
