Cantilevered construction with a mountain backdrop

Construction continues on the Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim

The construction of the superstructure of the Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim is making big steps forward. Following the completion of the technically complex deep foundation in marine clay soil one year ago, the cable-stayed steel–concrete composite superstructure is now being constructed. The approach spans were concreted in the autumn, and the cantilevered construction over the Mangfall River and Mangfall Canal is nearing its completion, which is projected for the end of May.

The Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim is located on the new section of the B15n bypass (Westtangente Rosenheim) and is expected to reduce traffic in the inner city.

GRASSL engineers have been responsible for the design of the cable-stayed bridge, from the preliminary to the execution design and tendering. Currently, they are managing and monitoring the construction of the bridge.
