B15 bypass in Rosenheim opened to traffic

Mangfall Bridge was blessed in lovely weather

Traffic can finally flow on the B15n Rosenheim bypass. Segments 2 and 3.1 were ceremoniously opened to traffic today.

Two complex engineering structures, the bridges over the Renkenweg and over the Mangfall River and Mangfall Canal, and the bridge over the Aicherpark are part of these road segments.

After roughly four-and-a-half years of construction, the two segments were blessed in lovely weather under the blue Bavarian sky. In their speeches, Michael Theurer, MdB (Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport), Dr Markus Söder, MdL (Bavarian Minister-President), Christian Bernreiter (Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport) and others stressed the regional and interregional importance of the new bypass.

GRASSL engineers accompanied the project from its inception and provided not only the preliminary planning and structural design but also further special services during all the work phases. In an engineering consortium with SSF Ingenieure AG, we carried out the site management and local supervision of the engineering structures.

We are pleased that the opening of these segments will relieve the Rosenheim inner city of traffic and that we can celebrate the successful conclusion of this project. We would like to thank all project participants for the successful collaboration and wish all road users safe travels on this new route!
