Hans Grassl Award 2025

At the 13th edition of the Hans Grassl Award, Master’s students of Civil Engineering specializing in Steel Construction at Technische Universität Braunschweig had around six weeks during the winter semester 2024/2025 to design the new river bridge (Strombrücke) of Elbbrücke Darchau, considering structural, architectural, urban planning, and economic aspects.

In March 2025, the jury evaluated the submitted projects prepared by student teams. On December 16, 2025, Martin Grassl personally presented the awards.

This year, first place was awarded to Blend Kuçi, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tobias Späth, and Bjarne Wickert. Second place was shared by two teams: Niklas Hanitz, Stefan Hofstetter, Emma Langhorst, and Landrit Thaci, as well as Felix Hinz, Monzer Jomaa, Louis Pawlik, and Hozifa Zarour.
