Hans Grassl Award 2024
Award ceremony at Technische Universität Braunschweig
To win the 12th Hans Grassl Award, in the winter of 2023/2024 the civil engineering master’s students of the Technische Universität Braunschweig specialising in steel construction were given approximately six weeks to submit a new design of the Hasselhom Viaduct in Schleswig. Structural, aesthetic, urban planning and economic considerations were to be taken into account.
In February 2024, the jury judged the work of the student teams. On 10 December 2024, Martin Grassl personally handed out the awards.
This year, first place went to Lawrence Alkalaani, Max Grothe, Nicolas Thielemann and Jan Wessels.
Mohammed Hamour, Samantha Knobloch and Felix Leven won second place. Nils Heinemann, Chaoguang Wu and Xiuwen Zhong finished in third place.
Congratulations to the award winners and runners-up and all the best for your studies!
