Some 700 participants were present at the premier edition of the International Architecture Congress in the Rheinterrasse in Düsseldorf on 15 January 2020. Under the slogan "New building with steel – on a human scale", internationally renowned architecture and engineering firms presented impressive construction projects using steel.

In his lecture “Technology that can be experienced – constructing with steel in the infrastructure”, Martin Grassl made the case for more collaboration between architects and engineers.

Under the heading of "Steel bridge construction – a task for the architect?" Martin Grassl gave a vivid exposition by means of GRASSL projects of the division of tasks between engineers and architects in steel bridge construction.
