Renovation of Zossen train station
Goal: Accessibility and line speed increase
As part of the upgrade to increase the speed of the Berlin–Dresden line to 200 km/h, the Zossen train station will be modernised into an accessible train station.
To this purpose, a 66 m frame structure serving as pedestrian underpass is currently being built. The underpass can be reached by ramps and stairs on both sides, and the access points to the platforms boast both stairs and elevators − an accessible train station is born.
The GRASSL team was responsible for the detailed and approval design, as well as the preparation of the tender documents.
