Site visit to the Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim
Together on site once more
On 21 July 2021, the Munich office attended a site visit to the Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim. The visit to the construction site of this outstanding project was carried out in small groups and in accordance with COVID hygiene regulations.
Gap closure of the cantilevered construction was successfully completed on 31 May 2021. Welding and the application of corrosion protection at the joints are currently being carried out. In the next step, the prefabricated parts will be lifted into the river area.
The Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim is located on the new section of the B15n bypass (Westtangente Rosenheim) and is expected to significantly reduce traffic in the inner city.
GRASSL engineers have been responsible for the design of the cable-stayed bridge, from the preliminary to the execution design and tendering. Currently, they are managing and monitoring the construction of the bridge.
