South-eastern bypass in Münster

Continuous south-eastern bypass in Münster will become reality

To create an end-to-end south-eastern bypass in Münster, the existing section of the B51 will be widened and a new section of the B481 will be built to connect it to the north.

We have been working on “Trog Mauritz”, the final part of the Münster bypass upgrade.

The B51 segment, built in the 1960s, has been heavily congested since its opening. During the current construction measures, the road will be widened from two to four lanes and lowered by two metres. Together with curved noise barriers, the lower level will significantly decrease the traffic noise for residents.

Our services: determination of the project requirements, preliminary design, design and tendering of the over 900 m long trough structure, two traffic sign structures, two pedestrian and cycle path bridges over the trough structure and one pedestrian and cycle path bridge behind the structure, as well as two temporary auxiliary bridges. Currently, we are working on the geometric check of the execution design.
