Presentation at the 41st Deutscher Stahlbautag

How we incorporate sustainability and efficiency in the design of steel bridges

On 26 and 27 September 2024, we went to Lindau to learn about the newest trends and to present one of our most outstanding projects: the public transport bridge over the Erlanger Regnitzgrund. An innovative, integral, 1,500 m long steel−concrete composite bridge for buses and trains, made with weather-resistant steel − an economical and sustainable solution for local public transport in Erlangen. In our presentation, we highlighted the most important technical aspects:

· Structure without bearings to minimise wear and tear

· Use of weather-resistant steel

· Optimised construction with minimal environmental impact
