The water bridge opens possibilities – GRASSL in Magdeburg

Following German reunification, the German federal government made the German Unification Transport Projects programme for the construction of roads in the new states a priority. Project no. 17 was the upgrade of the Mittelland Canal, including the construction of the Magdeburg Water Bridge over the Elbe River. This GRASSL flagship project opened doors for further projects in the region. This led to the establishment of the Magdeburg office in 1997.

Further prominent structures in the region, such as the bridge over the Elbe River at Hämerten, the Berlin Bridge in Halle or the Elbeu Canal Overpass, were added over the years.

In collaboration with our other offices, the Magdeburg office offers the entire GRASSL service portfolio and serves regional clients such as Deutsche Bahn GmbH, road construction authorities and regional construction authorities as a reliable partner.
