Our colleagues Arne Derk Räthcke and Vanessa Gernhuber have successfully graduated as structural drafters. It has been an exciting and instructive time and we are very happy that they will stay on at the Hamburg GRASSL office and that we can continue working with them.

One of the highlights of the last two (or three) years was their internship at the Elbmarsch K20 overpass construction site. As part of their practical work experience, they got to cast concrete, place reinforcement, drive a gantry crane, assemble and disassemble formwork, carry out surveying tasks and much more.

They also participated in many interesting projects. Vanessa and Arne have contributed to the construction of the steel infrastructure of a truss bridge over the Elbe–Havel Canal near Güsen, surveyed the existing construction on site and drafted the as-built plans.

We are proud of the dedication they showed during their training and admire their persistence and creativity. They have shown real talent in their specialist area.
