75 ALREADY! GRASSL ANNIVERSARY 2022
Our 75th anniversary means 75 years of connecting people, paving ways and creating Baukultur. The GRASSL Anniversary Project Days held in September 2022 in Munich were also run with these principles in mind. Over two days, all GRASSL employees gave professional presentations and listened carefully, exchanged information about projects and special topics, visited construction sites, went rafting on the Isar River and celebrated hard.
On this page, we share some impressions of the two eventful days, on which the GRASSL spirit shone brightly. Let us impress you!
PRESENTATION AND EXCHANGE
At the start of the Anniversary Project Days 2022, the focus was on the exchange of best practices of the entire range of our work. Intensive networking and the building of synergies met interesting insights, detailed presentations and in-depth workshops on special topics. After attending a common activity in the morning, our employees were able to choose between manifold presentations and breakout sessions in various rooms or construction site visits in the afternoon, depending on their interest.
CONSTRUCTION SITE VISITS
Besides exciting presentations, the implementation of our designs on the construction site is extremely interesting for our work, and thus site visits were offered in the afternoon. Inside the Altstadtring Tunnel in Munich, the general rehabilitation works and the installed structural health monitoring system was inspected. The Mangfall Bridge in Rosenheim, which is nearing completion, offered the opportunity to visit a cable-stayed bridge constructed in difficult terrain and under complex boundary conditions.
RAFTING FUN
In the morning of the second day, we were let loose on the Isar River in four rafts and made the most of the unpleasant weather during the first hours. Accompanied by brass music, Bavarian snacks and drinks, we passed some happy hours on the water – or even in the water for some of us, despite the low temperatures. We even got the opportunity to appraise two of our projects from the water – the bridge over the Isar River in Grünwald and the Grosshesseloher Bridge.
ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND PARTY
The finish of the two days was spectacular. In the former arrivals hall of the previous Munich airport in Riem, we dined in style, strengthened cross-location connections, honoured some team members, reminisced about the past 75 years at GRASSL and of course partied with a band and a DJ.
