Tatenberg Bridge

Progress in the construction of the temporary bypass

Work on the ramps of the temporary bypass of the Tatenberg bridge has been completed. The sheet piles have been pressed into place and the concrete roadway slab has been concreted. What are the next milestones and challenges?

It’s a wrap!

An exciting project on the A1 highway has been concluded successfully

The construction work on the route guidance systems (SBA, Streckenbeeinflussungsanlagen) on the A1 highway has been completed! In total, foundations were concreted at seven locations, supports were installed and barriers were lifted into place.

Referendum

A double YES to Regnitz Bridge and Manching!

We are very happy about the outcome of the two referendums: a double YES to the Stadt-Umland-Bahn tramway in Erlangen and to the second bridge over the Paar River in Manching!

Exciting presentations, workshops and exchange

At the Project Days on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 June, knowledge was shared through presentations and workshops, and interesting insights into the work of colleagues of other offices and into other topics were gained.

On 14 May 2024, our Düsseldorf colleagues, Maria Schartner, M.Eng., and Isabel Thelen, M.Sc., held a presentation on the Theodor Heuss Bridge at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of RWTH University in Aachen.

On 17 May, we set out full of anticipation, despite the inclement weather, because we accepted an exciting new construction project: the current building of the THW local section Kirchheim.

On 24 May, we visited the highest German railway bridge: the Müngsten Bridge at Solingen. We started from the valley and made our way through the bridge arch to the top and back again.

We are happy to report that the GRASSL team will gain additional expertise from within its ranks: Dr Daniel Wingenfeld of our Munich office has been certified by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) as checking expert for railways.

Last Friday, at the Hafen-Klub Hamburg, we celebrated the farewell of Rainer Lange, who worked as a structural drafter in our Hamburg office for 46 years.
